CALCULATE YOUR BMR

To determine your current BMR, please provide the following information:

What is BMR?

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is often used interchangeably with resting metabolic rate (RMR). While BMR is the minimum number of calories required for basic functions at rest, RMR — also called resting energy expenditure (REE) — is the number of calories that your body actually burns while it’s at rest. Although BMR and RMR slightly differ, your RMR should be an accurate estimate of your BMR. The two values tend to vary by about 10%.

How many calories should I consume if I want to lose weight?

should I consume
if I want to lose weight?

In general, you should consume at least the minimum number of calories that your resting metabolism burns to maintain your basic bodily functions. Consuming fewer calories over a long period will likely cause imbalance and discomfort. Therefore, we recommend that you choose a diet that equates to your BMR when you want to lose weight. Depending on your eating habits and lifestyle, you should experience weight loss of approx. 0.5+kg per week in eating a diet that is calorically close to your basal metabolism rate. The more active you are while following the diet, the more weight loss you will achieve.
